Here’s my latest TMS Aces High machinima, which I call The Shoulder of Orion. Watching the raw game capture gave me the idea for the opening sequence and a music suggestion by squad-mate FLS also helped to give me a basic theme for the video. I hope it works the way I saw it in my mind. It starts off a bit deceptively, so it’s not your average “Hey, look, I’m a fighter pilot!” video.
The video quality is excellent by the way; The version on Youtube is in full 1080p HD (1920x1080) resolution. Depending on how good your internet connection is, you might even be able to see it in full-screen mode with complete clarity and not stuttering. The mini-player below is automatically set to play a higher quality version:
As the end of 2009 draws near, I’ve (finally!) put together what I believe may be the most complete compilation of Kesmai’s Air Warrior campaign scores, which I call (for lack of a better name), the Incomplete Compendium of Air Warrior Scores (1st Edition). I call it the Incomplete compendium because there are still gaps in the campaign time-line. However, it is a huge volume of information just the same (four megabytes of data and almost 1850 pages).
I wanted to have it ready for Christmas 2009 as a little gift to the Air Warrior community, but the timing didn’t work out for me. So, here’s a belated gift to all you old A-Landers, B-Landers and C-Landers out there. This will make a great document to go over and relive those great memories. It should also help settle a few arguments here or there about who finished in what position in some campaign or other. Be sure to take a digital copy to Mike “Jordi” Bowman’s upcoming 2010 Air Warrior Reunion so you can back up your claims of Air Warrior L33tness!
The compendium is in .PDF format, and divided into three main sections, with the first two sections making up the bulk of the score results. I’ve organized it with internal bookmarks that, when clicked, will take the reader to the beginning of any of the three main sections or any given campaign within them. The campaigns are listed in their numerical order and presented in their original formats. I hope that as time goes by, more of the missing campaign results will be found and contributed to flesh out this work.
Finally, I’d like to thank the Muskies who contributed to this work: Dicey, Rapier, and Thud, for their invaluable help in finding some of the score results. So, from the Muskies and me, to all of you , enjoy the trip down memory lane. You can find the Incomplete Compendium of Air Warrior Scores, 1st Edition here.
