This is Bug! Step back, Jack! It's Bug's world. Step carefully! Most people that know him as Dennisthe guy who produces and edits those insidious, catchy "Must See TV!" promos for the NBC networkknow little of his alter ego. We Musketeers know Dennis as Bug, a funny, intelligent, stand-up guy who's a great wingman to have "coverin' yer Six" in a fight. He's extremely sensitive, talented, and very very ... <cough>... humble too. Bug is a true veteran of Air Warrior's unfriendly skies. He's been an active player since the early days of the game, back in the 1940s. Yes, in those days, Air Warrior was played on punch cards and was only available on an old UNIVAC unit back in Alamogordo, New Mexico. Air Warriors were forced to time-share the UNIVAC with number-crunching rocket scientists working on A-Bomb tests out at White Sands! CRT's hadn't been invented yet, so UNIVAC would print out a ticker tape with the enemy planes' positions, and the players would just draw pictures of the fight on the blackboard, using those ticker coordinates. Determining the winner of the dogfight often depended on which player had the most artistic talent! Boy, I sure am glad things have progressed since then. We can thank Bug for a lot of that, especially the use of actual computer monitors. Why, it was Bug who devised the idea of cockpit artworkyeah, artwork, that's itdrawing no doubt on his early editing work on the Ernie Kovacs Show! Bug is an amazing fellow. Way to go, Bug.... <tongue firmly in cheek...> Besides toiling at his usually hectic career guzzling cafe lattés at the swank, posh executive dining room of NBC's studios, Bug manages to put time in training hapless... ehmmm, I mean, eager, yes... eager air warriors in virtual air combat. He has been an Air Warrior Trainer for many years and has contributed much to our game and the development of some of Air Warrior's truly great players. Newand veteranplayers will find Bug's tips on Air Warrior combat and tactics extremely useful in furthering their game skills. Bug enjoys travelling and gourmet cooking. Because he has tons of discretionary time with his grueling latté career (Kidding, kidding, Bug works hard!), Bug has compiled of a nifty collection of great recipes, photos and some samples of his work at NBC.
