Sixty years later, the 'few' again defended the British Isles against the onslaught of the LuftWaffe - SUCCESSFULLY!
(But not without paying a heavy price, both in the air and on the ground!)

In Frame Two I managed to get in two flights. In the first, my function turned out to be dragging the hord of Bf109's away from their bombers so others could get the main job done.

Four of us danced within visual range trying to make them think there were a LOT more of us poised to defend London. Meanwhile many others got around the flanks of the bombers and went in after them. I did manage to lure a 109 and a 110 down to their deaths in ack and under the guns of others, but it wasn't until hop two of this frame that I managed to get a victory of my own.

Here are some screen shots - reduced in size, of course.
Above: Those 109's could practically SMELL a kill during my first hop, and burned up a lot of gas trying for it.
My first hop wasn't ALL just dragging around on high!
Above left: For one LW pilot, it was most unfortunate that he wasn't watching his altimeter as closely as I was - he augured in.
Above right: This Bf110 thought he could get the bounce on me, but my pals dropped in and we all got a hunk of him before he bailed out.
Above left: My only victory this frame - a Bf109E.
Above right: I did get a good hunk of this Bf109E, but only scored an assist.
I even managed to LAND my plane!
