A Guide to Aces High Bf110 Models

In Aces High, the Bf110 tag says simply '110' and leaves it up to you to visually identify the model you are dealing with. Herewith I present a quick pictorial guide to help you know your enemy (or friend):

Bf110 C4
With the early war Bf110 C4 you have a basic Zerstorer, dark all over with prominent black crosses and mottled grey sides. It doesn't get much speed up until around 20k alt, and its climb is nothing to brag about at any alt. I've seen guys who can really dogfight with them low and slow, so approach them with care if you see them setting up for a turn fight. Nose high leaps will eat all their speed.

Firepower consists of four 20mm cannons and four lite machine guns firing forward, and one lite machine gun firing from a rear gunner position.

Bf110 G2
The Bf110 G2 is easily identified by its lighter color and the yellow band near the tail. It gets over 300 mph down low, has a fairly respectable climb rate, and carries drop tanks.

Firepower options include:
- Two 20mm and two 30mm cannons, with up to two 500 kg eggs, and either four more 250kg eggs or four 21cm rockets.
- Four 20mm and two 30mm cannons with four 250kg eggs or four 21cm rockets.
