The Mark I Spitfire is pure dogfighter. She turns and dances, and needs to get right in tight to kill anything. She has the only plain dark nose among the Aces High Spits, and no other distinguishing markings.
This Spit has only .303 cal lite machine guns, but there's four of them in each wing. With proper convergence settings at close range, they can do some lovely damage. |

The Mark V Spitfire, my personal favorite, can be recognized by its dark green & brown paint scheme and white nose and band. This one also has visible cannons. It has more horsepower and performance than the MkI, but still turns well.
Firepower consists of a pair of 20mm cannons backed up by four lite machine guns. |

The Mark IIc Seafire is very similar to the MkV in performance and armament, but is faded grey and green with indistinct camo patterns. Its greatest strength compared to the MkV is its ability to take off from a carrier.
Firepower is the same as the MkV above. |

The Mark IX Spitfire is everyone else's favorite. It is light grey and green and a sharply defined pattern of camoflauge. It has more power, speed and climb than the MkV, but doesn't have quite the turn performance.
Firepower in the IX consists of two 20mm and either four 303's or two 50 cal machine guns for backup, giving it the most punch of any Spit. |

The Mark 14 Spitfire is the 'perk' plane in this series. It can perform all the way up over 40,000 feet making it the mother of all alt monkeys. In appearance it is identical to the MkIX for all practical recognition purposes, but its tag identifies it specifically as the Mk14.
Firepower is also nearly identical to the MkIX. |
