The WHUPASS EXPRESS has come to town!
(or, Eric Hartman's Day Off)
Well, the first frame of Kursk IV (and unfortunately
the only one I can make) is over, but to make sure the memories live on,
I have provided some snapshots of my Eastern Front holiday.
First, let me introduce you to The Whupass Express:
Here they are on the flight line, running up the engines and tossing drunken
ground crew overboard.
Don't let the dumpy looking planes fool you.
These boys and girls are ready to GO!
Along with the flying bathtubs, we had some smaller,
more nimble friends to keep us company on the long ride to glory.
Here's my personal escort and squaddie, Madda, apparently falling asleep
and losing altitude (which we didn't have much of to begin with).
Now you can see why they called the escorts LITTLE friends.
Now for some snapshots of OWL, before, during, and
after our little visit:
Now, some folks said the LuftWaffe was away on vacation
too, but some stayed home to make us feel welcome (and let us try out our
guns).
However, there weren't nearly enough to prevent
the happy (for us) ending.
Some days ARE just better than others <G>.
