A new sport available in Aces High is the PT hunt. A very dangerous sport when alone, it can net you plenty of "perk points" as long as you don't plan on landing too often.

On a recent afternoon as I made my way back to base, I found two enemy boats moving into vulchin position. Generally a few boats will come in close and shell the base, picking off any unwary planes that take off over them. Before they got close enough to stop me, I spent the 8 perks to saddle up an F4u1C (I prefer using cannons to rockets, since I can't hit a dang thing with them fireworks), and went out to hunt them.


I didn't take any time to get alt, just went out and came back in as fast and low as I could, cannons blazing at PTBoat #1 (above)

The fireball as he blew was truly magnificent, and it's nice to see the muskie sword in the victory message here (below)



I did a quick yo-yo and rolled into firing position for boat #2, and layed into him with those four 20mm hammers (above)

I got the kill, but it cost me my plane - a look at the shadow gives an accurate picture of what was left of my handsome hog! (below)


The net loss was 6.66 perk points - but I enjoyed every .01 of it!
