CLOUDY THINKING
It's my specialty.

Some of my favorite images related to Operation Iraqi Freedom
They Were Soldiers Once . . . Again

I'm not sure where credit belongs for these pictures, but it doesn't belong to me

Accomodations were often lacking for the troops . . .

. . . but they were paid for in full

Sometimes our assets seemed to be exposed . . .

. . . but the enemy's was always covered

The Iraqi people obviously don't like all Americans . . .

. . . but they seem fond of some

Some embeds weren't always sure what to report . . .

. . . but guidance was always available *

* For the record, I personally think the embedded reporter concept was an excellent idea, and I salute all those excellent journalists who literally risked life and limb to be with the troops and present fair and objective coverage. Some actually did make the ultimate sacrifice for their profession, and their families have my sympathies. It is unfortunate that some "celebrities" are mistaken for actual journalists and allowed in the field.

Bonus feature: Guardian Angel A small .wmv file (works with Windows Media Player Version 7+) showing a great pattern made by some defensive countermeasures designed to protect aircraft from heat-seeking missiles.
