Buddy's Blues
Here's somthing I want to share with you all. A special tribute to the late, great Buddy Rich! A jazz drummer of extraordinary talents, on and off the stage. Contained within this link is a transcript of the infamous TAPES (all well-rounded musicians will have heard these). A friend of mine, Bill Carrothers (a brooding Minneapolis musician), sculpted this mostly monolouge into a four act passion play called Buddy's Blues. I took this masterwork and HTML'd it into an interactive document complete with sound bytes (.au) from Opening Night. Please take a few moments and Look, Listen and Learn from the man known to all as simply....BUDDY.

Meet the man that crafted "Buddy's Blues". Bill Carrothers is a Minneapolis musician that has something new to say. Check out his page for a glimps into the mind of this mad genius. Billy has also included some .wav and .ra file of some of his works here. You can also hear Carrothers on Bill Stewart's Blue Note disk "snide remarks". Also playing on this release are Joe Lovano; tenor saxophone, Eddie Henderson; trumpet and flugelhorn, and Larry Grenadier; bass. Here is a scan from the CD cover. Get this disk. You will not be disappointed.
