Comment:

This was my first Bryce composition. It was inspired by one of my favorite old movies, "Ice Station Zebra." Back in the Sixties when I was a kid, navigating the Arctic under the icepack was still relatively uncommon. I wanted to capture the sense of awe that I felt when I saw that movie and its polar adventure theme.
